Other Solutions
I can hardly recommend any of following methods, nor think you have problem on getting HKK financially.

/ introduction / version / fonts / installation / price & info / final thought /

Using Macblue Telnet This is the simplest, cheapest way to view Hangul on your Mac. Writing Hangul through this way is a little bit troublesome though. All you need are MacBlue Telnet, a Chinese NCSA Telnet variant, and Unix account. That's it. You don't need any Hangul environment at all. Just install MacBlue Telnet on your Mac and login to remote host where your account resides.

You can read Hangul emails, sign on online services like Chollian, Hitel, NowNuri, Korean BBS like KIDS, read Hangul news groups, and even see Hangul web pages with Lynx. Remember, it is just telnet application and all you can get is text. Writing Hangul through MacBlue Telnet is weird because it has different keyboard mapping from standard Korean keyboard.

Install MacX If you feel comportable to use Unix and are able to access Hangul applications on Unix, and finally you have Mac X, an X-Window client on Mac, then you can see Hangul and graphics on your Mac screen unlike using MacBlue Telnet. However, you need very high speed connection or lots of patience. Using PPP or SLIP with even 28.8K modem, you may feel it is not enough for graphics intensive web browsing with Netscape. See Hangul FAQ for more informations about Hangul programs on Unix.

MacX has retail price tag of $149 from APDA directly.

SoftWindow on PPC This is the last way I want to recommend to use Hangul on your Mac. If you have SoftWindow on your PowerMac, you can install one of Hangul solutions for PC like CJK Union Way on top of SoftWindow and use DOS or Window Hangul applications. See Hangul FAQ for more information about Hangul solutions and applications on PC.
