Hangul Fonts on the Net

From Elex Elex released 3 Hangul bitmap fonts to fix jagged Hangul fonts problem on screen for the most widely used Hangul fonts included in HangulTalk. See more information. Unless you have these fonts from HangulTalk, you need corresponding TrueType Hangul fonts for print-out.
You can also download four Hangul bitmap fonts specially designed for Hangul web page display. With traditional Hangul fonts, there is too little space between lines in Hangul text on web pages because it is impossible to control this line space in web browsers. These new bitmap fonts installed and selected as browser fonts, Hangul web pages become easy to read because these fonts contain space in themselves. See more information.

From HanYang System Four TrueType Hangul fonts from HanYang System has been able to be downloaded for free from Aug. 20 1996. They are compatible with corresponding Hangul fonts for Window, or other platforms, so you can exchange or collaborate Hangul documents on various platforms more easily. Miscellaneous Hangul CID font Munhwa from Adobe looks good and worth to download too.
Except these, Hangul fonts of good quality, especially TrueType or Postscript, hardly can be found on internet. You can find some bitmap fonts though. For pointers to those sites, click here.

Commercial Hangul Fonts

TrueType Fonts Only HanYang System and Elex provide Hangul TrueType fonts. Other companies sell commercial Postscript Hangul fonts, most of these fonts are too expensive for nonprofessional users though.

Mook-Hyang Package HanYang System released Hangul TrueType font package called Mook-Hyang which includes 59 Hangul fonts and 9 Hanja. They support Unicode so that they can display all 11,172 possible combinations in modern Korean. SRP is 150,000 won but street price may be lower than that I believe. CID package is also available for SRP 300,000 won.

Elex CD-ROM Elex provides Hangul TrueType fonts CD-ROM to its customers. It can be purchased separately from Softimes. As I know, the price of this CD-ROM is higher than Mook-Hyang package.
